FA CUP BROADCAST TITLE'S & BRANDING
THE BRIEF
The brief was to create a stirring title sequence for Setanta's coverage of England's campaign at the 2010 Fifa World Cup. We needed to capture the essence of England's bitter sweet love affair with the beautiful game and inspire a feeling of courage, pride, passion and belief.
THE SOLUTION
Ask any football fan and they'll tell you the most motif of English football is the three lions, its on the shirt, its in the songs and its where our idea started.
What if the Lions were depicted as giant, etherial creatures, talismanic guardians
standing over the team, racing alongside our players,
and roaring as one with the fans.
It was an audacious idea, and immediately got everyone enthused, energised
and onside if you'll pardon the footballing pun.
